George the Poet has been incredibly busy this summer since joining XYZee. Utilising his time whilst on summer break from Cambridge, he has begun work on his workshops, of which he earlier this year won funding for. Performance-wise he begun performing his spoken word to music, reinventing his sound and the possibilities of his craft. George has gone on to perform for Goldman Sachs, Virgin and The Royal Family. Most recently George stars in the trailer for Naughty Boy’s short film ‘Hotel Cabana’ also featuring Emeli Sande, Tinie Tempah, Professor Green and Gabrielle.

Wretch 32 has finally released the highly anticipated ‘Wretchercise’ mixtape. The 17 track mixtape is available for free download and features the likes of Chip, Loick Essien, Krept &  Konan, Kyra, MckNasty, Kano, Scorcher and more as well as production from Wizzy Wow, SX, Knox Brown, J.F.L.O.W.S Gibzen and Ambience.

After fronting the Adidas Olympic campaign for the Olympics, Wretch 32 was also been giving the chance to run the Olympic torch relay for London 2012 Olympics, he ran the torch in Bournemouth and also managed to film an amazing visual with a new freestyle orchestrated by Coca Cola who had Wretch perform at their south coast festivities and also have him performing at their upcoming Olympic Concert at Hyde Park on 26th July.

Kyra has just released the official video for her song ‘Good Love’ featuring Cashtastic. The video includes cameos from the likes of SBTV’s Jamal Edwards and Georgia, YouTube sensations and funny men The Vujanic and Poet, Letitia Hector; star of Venus vs Mars, Remel London, Wretch 32, Shakka, 1Xtra’s CJ Beatz, producer Wizzy Wow, DJ Melody Kane, Choice Fm’s breakfast duo Kojo & Jade, Jacob Banks, George the Poet and of course the one and only Cashtastic.

Wretch 32 won Best International Act at last night’s 2012 BET Awards in America. The ceremony was hosted by Samuel L Jackon with a entourage of special celebrity guests and award presenters. Wretch 32 took home Best International Award over fellow UK nominees Estelle, Labrinth, Emeli Sande and Sway. Other award winners included Beyonce, Chris Brown, Jay Z & Kanye, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Kevin Hart and more.

An inspiring short documentary about the story and journey of Wretch 32 has been created as part of a series entitled ‘Who am i’.

As well as his own penultimate performance on the BBC 1Xtra stage on Sunday, which worked up a massive crowd before Nas took to the stage after, Wretch 32 also helped open the massive Radio 1 Hackney Weekend main stage when he jumped on stage as a surprise guest for Leona Lewis’ opening performance for their track ‘Coming Home’.
